A day at Deer Valley

A fun day for the families!
Started out mountain biking at Deer Valley (not me though - I'm still scarred from the first time I tried it).  The girls did really well though I think were a bit overwhelmed as going down the mountain once seemed to be enough.  Followed by a summer favorite - paddle boarding.  They are so self sufficient now, they just grab a board (or many different ones) and paddle the lake on their own with their friends.

This is what I did....a peaceful hike on my own.

Love these two photos of all of the kiddos on the big board!

...and there they go again.

Summer goes by quicker and quicker each year - back to school time!
Alexandra - 7th grade; Avery - 5th grade

Winston had to get in the photos too - he will miss the ladies!

Avery and Rachel - day one!

TOTAL Eclipse - 2017

We were so lucky to be invited to our friends' family cabin up in Driggs, Idaho to experience the event of the summer!  THE ECLIPSE!  Trip was complete with amazing hosts, a fantastic setting, good people, hiking, biking, eating way too much, exploring Grand Targhee, river rafting (moose included) and the grand finale....the eclipse.  A spectacular site that I am so glad we made the effort to see.

This picture was WAY TOO SHINY in color - hurt my eyes.

Look at all of the people who joined in the eclipse viewing party!

Checking out their extra sharp shadows.

Two of my favorite people - Alicia and Brad

Fashion Runway

Bonus Birthday Fashion Show!
Alexandra fashioned these scarves into outfits for Avery - it was almost like being at a French runway show as I sipped my birthday champagne.

Me.

One of my favorite days of the year - my birthday!  Not about the gifts (though, bonus) - just about hanging out with my family and being super leisurely all day!  A couple of years ago I decided to always take my birthday off of work so I could have my coffee, croissant, sit outside and watch the sunrise, go for a walk and hang with my people.  This year did not disappoint.

Bonus macarons!
