Splish Splash

After the baby showers the girls just wanted to let loose and have some fun. So they started by getting their feet wet in this tiny kiddie pool. Then they jumped in with their clothes on and then, through hysterical laughter, they got in their undies! In the end we were all laughing - it was one of those moments of pure joy!

Jason & Meghan Baby Shower

AND another baby boy! We had a baby shower for Jason & Meghan - which was a fun afternoon with all of the family together. It was a HOT day but so great to all be together! CONGRATULATIONS you two...soon to be three!

Kate's Baby Shower

This visit home was ALSO a time to celebrate new babies! First we had cousin Kate's Baby Shower - I took a ton of pictures but am only sharing two as I just need to keep moving forward with this blog so...here is one of Aunt Meghan and the girls and also one of cousin Kate with the girls and Caitlin. Beautiful, sweet party!

Another Day - More Play

GREAT DAY! The kids played really really well and Avery and Brady were so cute working together. They just get along so well and are so loving and patient with each other. They worked on arranging pieces on a felt board for hours and didn't want anyone to come in and interrupt their play.

Then Jason & Meghan visited for dinner and it was a fun evening playing games outside. We had some family badminton time and the kids tried their best to hit the birdie. They were so excited whenever they got it. Later tons of fireflies came out and the kids had a blast running around, chasing and actually catching them! I was amazed that Alexandra and Avery each caught several! Later we all made s'mores and just spent the night talking - I LOVED this night!

I liked this shot - I mean, it doesn't look like much but because it was pretty dark out and I had a long shutter and those lights on the lower right are Alexandra's light up shoes as she ran after another firefly.

Afternoon Playtime

I LOVE my parents yard. We spend every night during our annual visit playing outside....running, jumping, building forts, riding bikes, ice cream, water play, etc. It is SO MUCH fun! On this night we had ice cream treats, rode bikes and then built a blanket fort over the clothes line. The kids ran and played in and out of those blankets for an hours. Super sweet family fun!

Pancake Breakfast!

Alexandra and Grandma make breakfast several times during our visit....pancakes usually. This time they got a bit creative and strayed away from the usual snowmen and Mickey Mouses....they made Rapunzel and Pascal for Avery. LOVED it!

Story Time

So sweet! Just loving the time my girls have with their grandparents.

Now, It's GRANDPAs turn!

Grandma got it with the squirt guns the day before and now it was grandpa's turn. A water balloon fight against three of the sweetest girls in the world!

And then, Grandma came home from work! You've never seen four little kids so excited! As soon as someone spotted her red car coming around the corner they all dropped what they were doing, shouted "GRANDMA" and made a mad dash for her car. It was so sweet!

so far behind but......

I am going to blog away tonight in hopes of somehow, someway, getting a bit caught up. Here it is, the end of September, and I am still on July. So tonight...we will see what I do!

Here are some pictures of our trip to Wisconsin...yes, still working on that summer vacation. Here is my mom, being an awesome sport, and being chased by three kids with squirt guns. She got wise to their schemes quickly and found her own to fight back. It was so much fun watching them chase grandma...all three of the kiddies just laughed and laughed!
