Day one. Matt and I got up and got going. We headed over to A Mountain to take a morning run. It was a beautiful way to start the day. Once we returned we gave the girls each a new lego set and they set up shop in the grandma and grandpa office and worked away the day on their sets. We did tear them away for lunch at El Sombrero but then it was right back to legos and some hot tub time!

Travel Day
Headed to New Mexico and flying this time instead of spending 15 hours in the car. We were all excited to go, relax and hang out with Matt's dad and Carolyn. Travel went smoothly, girls were happy and the skies were gorgeous! Here we come!
French Choir (1)
There might be three French Choir posts total as there were three concerts but we'll see.
Avery decided on her own to join the French Choir at our school and Grandma Georgene took her every Wednesday for 5 months. She enjoyed hanging out and singing with her friends and would come home singing the cutest little tunes. We enjoyed her show and her enthusiasm - it was fun to watch!
Swimming, Skiing, Swimming, Skiing
Our neighbor friends invited us to spend a weekend up at a gorgeous condo in Deer Valley. What a TREAT! Beautiful place and crazy-easy ski-in and ski-out. Dare I say I actually enjoyed skiing this way! The condo also had a hot tub so the kids alternated from skiing a bit, then swimming, skiing, swimming, etc. It was a VERY FUN weekend with lots of laughter and too much deliciousness! Thank you again for the invite - it was a great experience!
Mom's Hamburgers are the Worst
I've made black bean burgers before. The girls like them well enough. On this lovely April evening Alexandra saw me mashing the black beans (which admittedly doesn't look that great) and freaked out that this was going to be her dinner. Thus the note below. Notice the exclamation points - that must mean that they are REALLY bad! They did eat them though and while they didn't love them no one choked or threw-up so to me, that is dinner success.
