Another day on the road. We drove north from Orick, CA and on the way I looked at the map to see if there was anything to see. Spotted Tolawa Dunes and thought it sounded interested. After MANY wrong turns we did find this state park and it was pretty so we stopped at the shore for a bit. Onward and upward to Brooking, OR for lunch and a stop at Harris Beach State Park. THIS place is fantastic. So beautiful, serene and fun! Final stop was within the Jedediah Smith Redwood Park on State Road 199. THIS is also fantastic. An incredible drive and we would love a full day just to drive and stop along the way.

Harris Beach
So fun playing in this little inlet where the waves came crashing in. It was gentle at first but as the tide came in it was more of a challenge to outrun. See the difference between the picture above and the picture below.
Wet waders.
Once the tide started coming in the girls got busy constructing a dam.
Happy family at the Redwoods.
Good-bye for now glorious trees.
