We had such a fun trip and we didn't want to leave! Everything worked out so well and we had so much fun. The last night we were there I "made" the family go and see the World of Color show. What a fantastic way to end the trip. Avery's mouth was open in awe the entire time and I just loved the colors and music. So beautiful. We will be back. Good-bye for now Disneyland.

Day Four - Rapunzel Day

This day started out WET! Lots of rain and it was our Magic Morning, meaning we could go into the park early. Avery and I rode Dumbo and Daddy and Alexandra went for another ride on Finding Nemo. Avery loved Small World so we were waiting for daddy and Alexandra under a bridge to stay out of the rain. While we were waiting I wanted to take her picture and she wouldn't let me so we made a game of it. She would peek at me and smile and I would try to fire off some pictures. The first two below are the two times out of 100 that I won the game!

After Small World we had breakfast and then daddy headed over to Rapunzel's Tower to stand i line so the girls, particularly Avery who has been in LOVE with her since her birthday last November, could meet her. It was still raining and we only had the girls' cute umbrellas. I love the photo of Matt standing in the rain with the flower umbrella waiting in line for an hour so his sweet girls can have a fun experience (we love you daddy)! Avery was so excited and had a huge grin. She drew a picture for Rapunzel and Rapunzel was SO SWEET! She spent a long time talking with the girls and posing for pictures. It made all of us so happy and when we came out of her tower the sun was shining!

Day Three - Princesses and Cowgirls

Fun morning. We found the Tiki Room song via my laptop and played it while the girls were all goofy and dancing on their bunk beds - so hilarious! We then headed to the park to ride the tea cups quick and then over to breakfast with the princesses! What a TREAT! We all enjoyed it, good food and the girls were able to meet and talk with five of the princesses. Alexandra was determined to NOT have a good time as she no longer likes princesses - only cowgirls - but despite herself she found herself smiling and laughing with each princess. It was a fun experience for all of us. Afterwards we rode the Toy Story Mania ride and caught a glimpse of Jessie. Alexandra was SO disappointed when she had to leave the meet and greet area but we learned when she would be back. So we headed back to the room and she wanted to put her costume on. Daddy headed over early to ensure our place in line and we were the VERY first ones to meet her. Alexandra was a delicate mixture of excitement and nervousness. You see, she does NOT like any characters in costume where you cannot see their face. The princesses were okay because you can see their faces but Jessie was full costumed. She was so excited yet she had a bit of apprehension the entire time. It was sweet though and in the end it is one of the Disney experiences she talks about the most. I'll post some videos later.

Day Two - Disneyland!

Oh my! How fun! It was a rainy start to our day but we went on in. We started with the Peter Pan ride which Avery hated (too dark). Moved onto Finding Nemo. Avery also hated this (too dark and scary). So we headed over to Buzz Light Year. Avery also hated this (too loud). Then we stumbled into Adventureland and found a couple of classic old school rides. Jungle Cruise - she LOVED this and then the Tiki Room - both girls adored this. Actually we have the Tiki Room songs on CDs in our cars now and sing it almost daily! :) Later on we headed over to California Adventure Park where we found our 'family favorite' ride - Soarin' Over California. I think we rode this at least five times during our three day stay. Another highlight - Alexandra got a Bullseye Horse to go along with her very very favorite Jessie doll. A final highlight, the bunk beds in our hotel room (the BEAUTIFUL Grand Californian). Girls played on those for hours and crashed out easily at the end of the day while Matt and I sipped wine on the porch and smiled!

Day One - Drive and Arrive

Not sure why these pictures are so grainy BUT here is our trip and arrival to Disneyland.

Stopped in a Jack in the Box of all places to share a milkshake. We thought the girls would want to get out and run around a bit after being in the car but they just wanted to gun down their drink and keep going so we could get there!

We arrived and spent a couple of hours checking out Downtown Disney. First stop was the lego store.

We also tried out some Beignets - straight from the Princess and the Frog. They were delicious - just like a donut!

Daddy and I having some champagne once we got the kids to bed. We are READY for our first day in the park!
