Family Night at the Nutcracker

One thing we have wanted to do for many years is take the girls to see the Nutcracker ballet. Finally we got our act together and ordered tickets. Grandma and Grandpa came with us and we all enjoyed a fantastic night out at the theater. The girls loved all of the dancing and looked so pretty in their festive attire. This just might be a family tradition...

Christmas Fun

We spent a day during our Christmas break hanging out with our good buddies. Started the morning at Gardner Village on the "elf hunt" and then had a fantastic playdate and graham cracker house building project at the Molloys. Honestly...lots of smiles and just a plain ole' fun time!

Pajama Day

Alexandra was SO EXCITED about this! She was able to wear her pjs to school for a Christmas Polar Express Party. She had a GREAT time - they watched the movie Polar Express, ate cookies, made a Christmas tree craft and even were able to visit with Santa. Lots and lots of smiles before and after school!

Montessori Christmas Songs

Avery's preschool put on a performance of Christmas songs. I do have video of this and will, eventually, post. She didn't really seem to be into singing and we think it was because at first she was in the back row with her friends and then got moved up to the front row to make room for other kids. Either way, she was cute and shared some lovely smiles with us. After singing the kids went caroling at a few next door business and then had cookies and cocoa afterwards!

Elfie Strikes Again

The girls couldn't believe that Elife got out an erasable marker and doodled on their little faces. The first thing they said to me when I got up was "Mom, you are not going to like this!".

Game Night

Elfie got together with a few pals to play Candyland one night. I think he won too!

Ballet Preview

Avery's ballet class had a little performance right before Christmas. They showed off their skills on the floor and on the bar and even performed a little Christmas dance. As it seems to go with me, Avery & ballet - I left the video camera at home. I could have sworn it was in my camera bag but, alas, it was on the kitchen table. Regardless, it was a lot of fun to watch her spin and twirl...and smile!

Skating Day

Super fun day! Met up with friends and went ice skating at the Gallivan Plaza. Girls had a blast and it was just a fun afternoon. Yummy pizza afterwards! A good, happy day!

Toilet Paper Trouble

Elfie did it again...he toilet papered the house one night! The girls thought it was hilarious and even had fun cleaning up his mess.

Elfie is Cooking up Mischief

Elfie surprised us one morning by busting out he marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers. He was busy roasting a marshmallow on a straw over a little candle. That Elfie!

Fancy Birthday Party

Avery wanted a fancy princess party...just like her friends so...that is what we had! There is a local kiddie hair salon that throws parties where the girls get dressed up in princess attire, get their hair and nails done and dance away to princess themed music. Avery had a ball and was all smiles and she LOVED her Rapunzel cake. Happy Birthday again my sweet sweet princess!

Hair styling!

Glitter spray of course!

All the lovely little ladies dancing.

Then the girls put a little parade on through the hair salon.

Happy Birthday to you!

She couldn't get the last candle out so everyone pitched in.

I love the happiness in this picture! Wishing you another year of joy and happiness...which is exactly what you bring to us. Love you sweetie!
