Sweet Avery's 4th Birthday....Princess Style

Avery has wanted a princess party for a year....and to be honest, I thought it would be fun to have a bunch of sweet little girls over to prance and play in their princess finery. We decked the house in flowers and I created fairy wands, a "kiss the frog" game, and a crown craft to keep the wee ones entertained. It really was a fun and lively party and all of the princesses looked DIVINE! Thank you for coming and celebrating with Avery - it was a fun afternoon!

Amy, with flowing long hair, subjected herself to styles by 6 girls at a time. One with a hairdryer, one with a comb, one with a curling iron, one with a flatiron, one with lipstick and one with curlers. She was a very good sport!

No really....Halloween Night.

This will honestly be the LAST Halloween post of the year! This was October 31st and while we did most of celebrating the night before we had one more chance to don our costumes and head out. Our church hosted a trunk-or-treat so we thought we would get one more wear out of our cute costumes and collect some treats. It was a relatively quiet and easy night and the girls had fun BUT I think they were wore out at the end. I never thought they would say "ENOUGH candy"...and while they didn't actually say it, I think they were ready to put the orange bucket away for a few days.

'Til next Halloween - they already told me what they want to be. Alexandra wants to be a vampire and Avery wants to be Tinkerbell......we will see if they maintain this thought for an entire year!

Halloween Night

This is actually NOT October 31st but in Utah, when the 31st falls on a Sunday one celebrates with Trick or Treating on a Saturday night. We had our good friends over for some good food and lots of candy gathering in the neighborhood.

Alexandra has been bugging me since last year to dress up and while I regret not getting a good picture of her and I together, hopefully these few snaps of me will give you an idea of my witchy-wear. She was so excited to help me get dressed for halloween - it was so sweet and she even ran down the hall ahead of me to introduce me as the witch. She was just telling me over and over how great I looked and how I need to dress up every year - which I plan on doing because it was super fun!

The kids had an amazing time running door to door and the rain stayed away just long enough for us to fill our buckets with goodies. Wonderful night....just wonderful.
