Happy Birthday to me....

My sweet, sweet husband got me a fantastic gift this year....a new "real" camera. The Canon 50D. I am so excited and I start photography class tomorrow night! Here is one of my first pictures with it - Happy Happy Day!

the "actual" 5th Birthday

Alexandra wanted to make her own cake for her "actual" birthday so her and Avery each chose a color frosting and got busy putting on sprinkles, trees, skiers and any other odd thing we could find.Happy 5th Birthday my Sweetie Girl! I cannot believe you are 5 already - I am so happy for you and for the wonderful little girl you have become.

Grammie Georgene didn't want Avery to feel left out so she got presents too - are they spoiled or what?

Alexandra LOVES blowing out the candles and was so excited! She was also really excited to receive new Princess jammies from her sissy so she had them on from about 4pm on throughout the rest of the evening.

Alexandra's 5th Birthday Party

Alexandra had her 5th birthday party at the Rec Center Pool. She wanted a fish theme to go along with her pool party so her and I put together the below fish-shaped cupcake cake. She loved it!

She insisted on having this red ribbon with the #5 on it to wear to her party!

I love how all of the little faces crowd around the presents! They are just as excited as the person opening the presents - they cannot wait to see what is inside!

After the indoor portion of the party we headed outside to the pool. It was a bit cool outside but we managed and we appreciate everyone who was able to come and celebrate with us!

My Helpers

As I was folding laundry, the girls offered to help by folding and putting away the kitchen towels. Big help eh? Super sweet though!

Track Day

A few times a summer daddy rides his motorcycle out at Miller Motorsports Park. We usually come out to watch him and spend the morning riding bikes, eating and watching him ride "super fast" as Alexandra would say.

Seeing as daddy needs to put fuel in his motorcycle to make it go, it would only stand to reason that the girls' bikes would require fuel too.

Annual Bike Parade

Every year to celebrate Pioneer Day our neighborhood has a bike parade. This year Avery was excited to participate and was busy riding along with the big kids. It was great fun with yummy treats afterwards!
