Avery's 3rd Birthday Party

Avery wanted an elephant party so that is exactly what she got. It was a lot of fun for her and a lot of fun planning too!
Happy birthday my little sweetie. I love your smile, your kisses, your hugs, your squeezes and absolutely ADORE having you in my life!

I tried fondant for the first time and crafted these little elephant cupcakes.

We started the party by having a ton of balloons on the floor - everyone had fun playing!

Then we played pin-the-trunk-on-the-elephant!

Avery handed out the mommy-craft elephant party-blowers.

Time to sing to the smiley birthday girl!

We then headed out back and everyone had a couple of turns trying to crack open the elephant pinata.

Finally, cousin Andre had to take a turn to open up the elephant.
Followed by the mad candy scramble!
Sweet tired Avery.

Working at the car wash...

In early November, on a nice warm day, the girls decided my car needed to be cleaned....they were right too! So, they got out the hose, buckets and towels and got to work. The front of my car was SO CLEAN...the back, not so much.

Halloween

We had a wildly fun Halloween season this year. We attended a trunk-or-treat activity with out church, enjoyed Alexandra's Halloween program, decorated the yard with orange lights, carved pumpkins and had our friend's, the Shinalls, over for our annual trick-or-treating event. Okay, maybe "event" is a stretch but we had a really fun time regardless. We started the evening with a "bone hunt" in the front yard (below is Alexandra assembling her skeleton), had a bit of dinner and hit the streets. The older girls (Alexandra and Hannah) were REALLY into it this year and ran from house to house. The younger two (Avery and Griffin) were more content to get their candy and then sit in the wagon and eat it while they were given a ride to the next stop. It was a fun - and fortunately, very warm - night! BOO!

Avery, our little funny bunny!

Here is our Halloween chariot carrying cheetah Alexandra, little mermaid Hannah and funny bunny Avery.

Like my hat?

Here is a picture of Kristi and I. We always talk about "dressing up" and while I don't know if this qualifies it is better than our usual effort!
