Chocolate Face
After being cooped up in the house all day we took a walk down to grandma & grandpa's house. I went outside for two minutes and came back to find Avery looking like this. The girl loves her chocolate ....this after she just finished a dish of chocolate pudding in record time.

Spring Blooms
I love the spring blooms. I have been experimenting a bit with my camera settings (thanks again Matt) and here is what I have come up with. I've made a lot of progress but have a long way to go. I am hoping to take a photography class this summer....that might help me understand what all of those settings are on my camera! The first pic is my favorite!

Kitchen Aquarium
Since Alexandra wasn't feeling well today we pretty much stayed close to home. She wanted to go to the aquarium but instead we made our own on the kitchen window. She had a lot of fun and came up with the sign all on her own. Thanks for coming up with such a fun project my dear!

Splish Splash - We need a bath.
Tonight we had a little birthday dinner for our friends Kristi & Robert. Due to the rain we promised the girls that they could go outside and splash in the puddles. They had a lot of fun and were filthy wet when we were done. Here are their cute feet and exuberant faces. FUN, FUN!

EASTER
Easter Weekend!
We started by coloring and decorating eggs on Friday night. The girls loved it and probably wish that we had done about 2 dozen more!

Saturday we went to the Wheeler Farm Easter Carnival. Too many people and not enough to do but the girls didn't seem to notice. They had fun in the bounce house and getting their faces painted with Easter Eggs.

This is just a cute before bed Easter photo. They had put out their baskets and a plate of carrots and then put on their rabbit ears for a photo....well, Alexandra put on her rabbit ears and Avery's kind of fell off so she wrapped them around her face.

The easter bunny was kind and brought lots of candy and treats. Both girls ate their chocolate bunnies for breakfast! They both received microphones so we were treated to many performances through out the day. Here they are warming up. I'll have to post a video later but Alexandra created this micorphone stand (we still need a door knob in the hall closet door). She stands there and pumps her foot and belts out these songs she makes up. It is very creative! She poses, twirls, bows and sings really loud - right into the microphone. She needs "stage lighting" too. I have no idea where she gets all of these ideas....

and now INTRODUCING....the STOLBERG SISTERS! Nashville's latest act! This singing, dancing and musically talented duo wowed the crowd at their debut concert. Man, they were so cute and funny and very serious, very serious about their craft!

And finally the egg hunt. They girls loved hunting though their approach is so different. Alexandra loves to run around and collect as many as possible. Whereas Avery likes to find one and then sit down and open it up to see what is inside.....she doesn't collect near as many but she thoroughly enjoys eating her chocolates along the way.

House Updates
As most of you know, we have done a bit of remodeling. We removed a large post in the middle of the living room and elevated the floor so we now have all one level in the living room. We also updated all of the doors in the house (when I say "we" I also mostly mean Matt & Barton). There is still a bit to do but the "big projects" are done. Just lots of finishing work and a few more pieces of furniture to acquire.
