Cirque du Soilel - Varekai

Matt and I had seen a few Cirque shows in Las Vegas but we wanted to take the girls.  Fortunately, Varekai, was traveling through SLC so we got to see it without leaving town.  Amazing costumes and mesmerizing acts.  Grammy came with us too as Matt was out of town dirt biking in Moab.  So...a fun girls night!!!

Avery Sings in the Choir

Avery joined the French choir at school again this year.  They rehearsed every Wednesday after school and put on a sweet program at the end of the year.  The theme was "animals" so they all had to wear animals or animal prints.  Great show sweetie!

Butler Elementary Ground Breaking Ceremony

The girls elementary school is in the process of being re-built.  They had a fun ground breaking ceremony of the students and community.  The kiddos got to dig in the sand they trucked in and everyone got to see the plans for the new two story building.  Lots of activity at the school this year and very little parking but it will all be worth it when the new school is done next fall!

Good-bye CA Coast....we will be back.

Big Basin Redwoods State Park

Another treasure.  We stopped at Big Basin Redwoods on our way (well, not really on our way) but as we headed towards Half Moon Bay.  I loved all of the huge redwoods, taking a hike with everyone and enjoying a warm sunny day.  I hate to keep saying gorgeous but well, it was gorgeous.  I just loved it and hope to visit again someday and walk amongst the giants.

One more of all of the ladies!

Love this shot.

Hamming it up!

Could they be any sweeter?

Last Full Day

Today was warm but the water was still cold.  It was boogie board day and the girls tried a bit of shore surfing.  Unfortunately it was pretty rocky with loads of tide pools right near the shore so the girls couldn't really wade out and try to ride in but they still thought they were surfers and had a blast for hours!

Later in the day we discovered hermit crabs everywhere and created quite a sanctuary for the little critters.

The girls and I made a ton of seashell/rock necklaces.

Tow of my favorite sunsets.
